The use of gold is important in many ages. It is one of metal’s most beautiful and most of the more elegant. It is loved and wanted by rulers from many countries and wealthy people. Each piece of thing can be made from this material. It’s quality flicker and its color is copied in many movies and pictures as a representation of gold.

It represents different ideas. Historically, Rome has seen gold as a metal that represents love, strength, wealth, richness, goodness, truth, gods and goddesses, value, sun and more.

In many stories, most often something that is important or valuable items can be transformed into the yellow material. Most objects that are sacred are made in them. Something significant is called the “golden” as the Golden Fleece, the Golden Gate, or the golden years. The saying “time is gold” means that time is important and should be evaluated.

In economic sense, it represents money, wealth and abundance. The more you have, the wealthier you are.

There are many possible reasons why gold is still popular especially for jewelry makers. Gold has certain qualities combined to make it the most desirable metal to turn into a jewelry. It has become rarer as time went by and there are a few gold mined nowadays.

The gold’s malleability can be drawn into threads, wires or hammered into thin sheets. It is elastic or bendable. You have seen different types of gold shaped into something as big as a building to something that is as thin as a thread.

It comes in different forms and even colors. In jewelry shops, you can buy rings and necklaces of different type of gold. Yellow gold for example is obviously the most obvious gold you can see. Although, its level of yellowish-ness comes in different levels. There is a darker gold and also a lighter gold.

Just like any other gemstone jewelry, yellow gold jewelry is measured in terms of four c’s which are carat, cut, clarity and color. It seemed the easiest to make the cut yellow gold jewelry because gold is easy to maneuver with an instrument. Its color is different on how pure the gold is. The heavier the gold, the price could more expensive.
